"Pasta Corona" is produced using only "Senatore
Cappelli" flour, a special fall- harvested hard grain wheat developed
at the beginning of the 20th century by Nazareno Strampelli dedicated
its product to the Marquis Raffaele Cappelli from Abruzzo, a Senator
of the Italian Kingdom who, in the final years of the 19th century,
together with his brother Antonio, gave birth to the agricultural trasformation
of the Apuglia region and supported Strampelli in his research.
It was dedicated by Strampelli to the Earl Raffaele Cappelli from
Abbruzzo, a Senator of the Italian Kingdom who together with his brother
Antonio gave birth to the agricultural trasformation of the Apuglia
region and supported Strampelli in his research.
The Cappelli wheat
had an enormous success in Italy because of its adattability, its hardiness
and the excellent quality of its flour.
It is still grown nearly
a century later particolarly in Southern Italy and "Senatore Cappelli"
wheat is used in the production of high-quality pasta.
